PID Installed on LeLit / Le Lit Espresso

One of the most interesting aspects of this modification, though, was the use of the alarm output on the 93, running through a second SSR, to control steam temperatures in addition to brew temperatures. MLG provided Mani with a second SSR, pre-wired, along with a few instructions for bypassing the steam thermostat using the leads from the second SSR. We also did the necessary custom programming on the controller to give small deadband electronic ON-OFF control for steaming (brew temps by PID control, as per standard installation).

Mani was able to adapt the Silvia kit to the LeLit with only minor input from MLG. We do not necessarily recommend adapting our kits to different machines, or to adding this second SSR for steam control, unless you are very confident in your abilities!
